Audited Supplier Field Sequential Color-LCD (FSC-LCD) is a type of display technology used in some LCD screens to produce color images. Unlike traditional LCDs that use a combination of red, green, and blue (RGB) subpixels to create colors, FSC-LCD displays use a different approach.
In FSC-LCDs, the color information is displayed sequentially rather than simultaneously. The display alternates between different color fields in rapid succession. Typically, three color fields are used: red, green, and blue. The human eye perceives these fields as a full-color image due to persistence of vision.
To achieve this color sequencing, FSC-LCDs require the use of a backlight with a fast response time and a color filter that can switch between the different color fields quickly. The backlight illuminates the pixels, and the color filter determines which color field is displayed at any given moment.
