A VFD module, refers to a Vacuum Fluorescent Display module. It is a self-contained display unit that incorporates a VFD, control circuitry, and often additional components for interfacing with other devices.
These modules typically consist of a glass tube or panel containing a series of phosphor-coated cathodes and anodes. When a voltage is applied between the cathodes and anodes, the gas within the VFD module ionizes, causing the phosphors to emit light.
